How It Works
Who: BCBAs and BCaBAs design treatment plans to help your child be their best self safely. RBTs implement those treatment plans.
Where: in home, school, and community environments - behavior doesn't just happen at school or home. It happens at the arcade, at the grocery store, and at the park.
When: Behavior therapy can be provided during any time. Sometimes we struggle with morning routines, or bedtime routines.
What:
MEANINGFUL CHANGE:
Your child will learn important life skills to help them get the most out of life, whatever that means for them - to make friends, identify community helpers, ask the librarian for help finding a book, put air in their tires, purchase groceries - the list is truly endless!

Victoria Gauthier is a neurodivergent BCBA who has passionately worked to develop a place where special needs individuals can come to find compassion and understanding on their journey to safely being their best selves within their home, school, and community environments. She prides herself on having a uniquely animated and engaging approach with the children she works with, bonding with her clients by being silly and taking an interest in their interests. Her clients have even introduced her to some of her own special interests! She loves to sing and dance with her kiddos and show them that they are accepted just as they are, even if they struggle sometimes.
Victoria's own experiences have enhanced a special set of skills that lend her to becoming a gifted clinician when working with special needs kids and young adults. She is hyperaware of the changes in emotions of others and in her environment. She is a forward thinker, predicting possible dangerous outcomes and swiftly making adjustments in order to help her clients learn to engage with new people and environments safely, and in meaningful ways. On the edge of the comfort zone is where growth happens. Victoria walks along that edge with her clients, offering support and encouragement as they take on new and challenging tasks.
Behavior is communication. Victoria quickly assesses situations in order to determine the purpose behind the challenging behaviors that her clients are engaging in, in order to effectively teach them how to safely ask for the things they need and want, wait for those things if necessary, and possibly even choose an alternative to their preferences when what they want is unavailable for any reason.
Victoria has experience working with clients who have been diagnosed with autism, adhd, opposition defiant disorder, fetal alcohol syndrome, fragile x syndrome, angelman syndrome, tourette's syndrome, and reactive attachment disorder. She has experience with personality disorders, as well.
